Getting Published

A few weeks ago Fern, the editor of craftblog, sent the call out to crafty types everywhere to contribute to this inspirational new blog she conceived. She was even after people who could not necessarily make anything, but loved handmade. I was certain she was talking directly to me so I responded. Within the next few days I noticed my name in the sidebar of craftblog, listed as a contributor and part of the craftblog team. Eeeek! That sounds awfully important and serious I thought. I better write something. So I did.

Above is my first published post for craftblog. I wrote about these adorable, one of a kind Sock Baby Rattles made by Rene, a woman who I have since found to be not only talented, but also beautiful and kind in every way. She owns the Chickabiddy Baby Boutique on Etsy. I have been eyeing them for the girls for quite some time.

I made myself sick, worrying about how my writing would be received. So silly! I had visions of Fern asking me never to email again because it was so awful, but thankfully she loved it and now I am very excited about my next post. I am searching for the perfect item to share. The only problem being that the items I truly love I don't want to share because I don't want anyone else snapping the up! If only all my problems in life were this trivial.
