30th Birthday Celebration Wrap Up

I've been 30 for just over 2 weeks now but have only just managed to locate the cable that allows me to transfer photos onto the computer. Finally I can share a few photos from my 30th birthday celebrations.

On the day itself I took Malia and Zoe out to lunch. We got dressed up, making sure there was lots of pink involved and headed out, but not before dad took a few shots of his girls. Malia has her fingers splayed in all of them to show off her newly painted pink nails. Aren't they just beautiful? (Malia and Zoe I mean, not the pink nails. Although Malia thought they were brilliant).

Then it was on to lunch, where we indulged in burgers,

drank strawberry milkshakes (more pink),

and hammed it up for the camera.

Zoe in particular was in a very smiley mood.

Jonathan thinks Zoe's gummy smile makes her look like Master Oogway from Kung Fu Panda. What do you think?

Before we left Malia alerted me to the fact that it wasn't really a birthday party without balloons and a birthday cake. We didn't have any on hand so we had to improvise. Thank goodness the restaurant provided entertainment for Malia in the form of paper and crayons so we were able to come up with this.

We sang 'Happy Birthday' and Malia even helped me blow out the candles.

When we got home I was given a great gift. A Wii Fit! The whole family (well ok, not Zoe just yet, although we have created a Mii for her) have been having fun on it almost every day since.

The next night I was treated to a beautiful birthday dinner at the Log Cabin. Malia had her first taste of lobster (which I think she really liked, UH OH) and the birthday cake I was presented with was the size of car wheel. A small car wheel perhaps, but that is still pretty big for a cake! Unfortunately I don't have any photos on hand of the dinner as they were all taken on my Mother In Law's camera. Hopefully I can add some of those in later.

A few weeks later I finally had the chance to catch up with my side of the family and we had a celebration at Yum Cha. Delicious and lots of fun, although the highlight was the little fun ride we had at the shops on the way back to the car.

If this is who turns up and what he arrives in when I dial 000 I may think twice before calling in the future!

So as you can see I had a great birthday! In the words of Malia,

'I'm a lucky girl am I?"

I sure am!
